Eid Mubarak!

Eid Mubarak everyone! Today Muslims all around the world are celebrating Eid Al-Adha and millions of Muslims are making the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca. On this holiday, Muslims celebrate when Ibrahim (Abraham) was told by God to sacrifice his son. Following God’s command both Ibrahim and his son were willing to submit. But, at the last minute God stopped Ibrahim, and told him not to sacrifice his son.

Muslims celebrate this test of fate by sacrificing livestock and distributing it to those in need. Muslims also celebrate by gathering together at their local masjid for the Eid prayer, where they also listen to a short lecture usually about the story of Ibrahim and what this day means.

With all the turmoil happening in the world today, it is nice to be able to come together with millions of Muslims around the world and celebrate this blessed day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and has tons of fun celebrating.

Eid Mubarak!!
